Worship music...
is where I experience God most deeply. Music awakens us and draws us to God. Through worship, I seek God’s truth and direction for my life. I have explored many ministries, serving in children’s ministry, sharing devotionals, and participating in mission trips and women’s events. Yet, the one door that has always remained open is worship ministry. Whether leading worship before a message, playing guitar and singing during a mission trip, or offering musical support at events, worship is the heart of my service. Music breaks down barriers and opens doors for conversation, comfort, spiritual growth, and evangelism. I desire to shepherd others in worship, directing hearts toward God, and letting music be the vessel.
My Story
My name is Mallory Johnson, and I am a freshman at Taylor University studying Public Relations and Worship Arts. Serving in ministry is a calling woven into my life. I have served in worship for around 7 years now, using my gifts of musicianship to give glory back to God and to worship with fellow believers. The phrase “I own nothing and I am owed nothing” is at the heart of my worship ministry. This is a short phrase I use to remember Philippians 2:1-18 which writes about Jesus Christ’s immense humility and how we should “adopt the same mindset”. Everything we have is given to us from God so we should give our whole lives back to Him. We are invited into worship by God, and we respond in worship with humble hearts, praising Him together in love.
