I am very blessed to have been raised in a Christian family. Before dinner my family would pray together; my parents would have my brothers and I pray as well - more liturgical prayers we knew and more improvised ones - which helped us become better in our personal practices of prayer as well as for praying for others.

Confession has played a major role in my spiritual life. I am someone who likes to be in control and know what to expect in every circumstance.

My understanding of the term "liturgy" is a structured pattern or script used for communal worship. I was raised in a Methodist church, mostly attending the more traditional services, so I grew up using liturgy, saying creeds, common prayer, and liturgical scripts.

I think worship is an invitation from God to respond to our God for the amazing works He has done, especially the salvation Jesus has granted us, through the way we live, follow God, and give Him all the glory.

“Love is the condition for knowledge” has been a quote I’ve followed for quite some time. This past year I studied Christian apologetics and whenever we would talk about truth and being “truth-seekers”, we would discuss the fact that to seek truth is to love truth.

I think the phrase "biblical worship" is the effort to align our actions and intentions in worship to our best understanding with scripture and to think deeply about if what we are doing is the faithful thing to do. I love what Cherry wrote about this, saying, “…lives pursing greater understanding of there and other primary themes pertinent to biblical worship with the hope of offering worship that is pleasing to God.” We can be confident in certain themes of worship and what those aspects may entail according to our understanding of worship in the Bible.
