My understanding of the term "liturgy" is a structured pattern or script used for communal worship. I was raised in a Methodist church, mostly attending the more traditional services, so I grew up using liturgy, saying creeds, common prayer, and liturgical scripts.
In high school, I switched to a Southern Baptist church, where the services were less liturgical but still kept some of the traditional elements I grew up with, like reading scripture together and reciting creeds. I find liturgy beautiful as well as important and helpful in church services, and I believe churches should incorporate it because it was used in the early church. I think it's valuable to look back at how early churches worshipped communally, and, of course, to look to how the Bible commands us to worship together and praise God. I believe worship is both expressive and formative. Our worship should be centered on Christ, and we give praise through our actions in church, such as singing which is an expressive act. Also because of what Jesus has done in our lives, our worship also becomes transformative, as we connect with Him more deeply through it and get to know God more.
